E.L. James hopes for a cameo in the movie Fifty Shades

Author of the Fifty Shades books has been keeping quiet on any news regarding the movie Fifty Shades, but one thing she’s dropped hints of is that she would like to make a cameo in the movie herself.

In September, E.L. James made a guest appearance on Katie Couric’s new talk show and teased fans with some half information on the movie Fifty Shades without giving a lot away. However, James has confessed that one smaller character in her bestselling books was based on herself.

“I’ve actually written myself into the book; I play a very tiny cameo role and I might try to do that if I’m asked to… well see,” said James on the topic of the movie Fifty Shades, “It’d be interesting to know if people can find me in the books.”

James continued to tease fans with her casting picks for the movie Fifty Shades, letting us know she does have certain actors in mind, but won’t drop any hints.

“I have three people who could play Christian and I think four who could play Ana, and I’m not going to tell you any of them.”

At the moment the recent polls on who should play Christian Grey in the movie Fifty Shades of Grey lean in favor of Ryan Gosling from the Notebook, who has the big name and the fan backing to make it work, Ian Somerhalder from the Vampire Diaries who has a passionate following for the role of Christian in the movie Fifty Shades and even E.L. James has revealed she’s a huge Vampire Diaries fan, and last but not least Matt Bomer. Even though American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis, who was under consideration at one point to pen the script for the movie Fifty Shades, made comments questioning Bomer’s suitability to play Christian Grey because he’s openly gay. Instead of hurting Bomer’s chances, fans have voted him in at the number one position to play the role of Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey the Movie.

Can you guess who E.L. James’s cameo is in the book and do you think the studios will give the writer a part in the movie Fifty Shades the same way Stephenie Meyer did in the first Twilight movie?
