As Fifty Shades of Grey the movie approaches, new interest and business opportunities popping up that the Fifty Shades trilogy have inspired.

FiftyShades of Grey the movie is still a long way off from being released, but the book has inspired not just movie makers but other trades as well.  Women love the idea of Christian Grey’s clean clothing style and the way that he carries himself.  Readers also love the idea of spicing up the bedroom with Grey inspired moves.  Could this phenomenon outgrow the books and Fifty Shades of Grey the movie, turning into a movement that makes a long lasting impact? From clothing lines to sex toys to hotels, Fifty Shades of Grey is sweeping the world with its influence.

There is a line of men’s suits dedicated to “Fifty Shades of Grey”, made in a diverse variety of fabrics and textures to fit any shade that a man desires.  Norton and Townshend, UK tailors, have developed the line of menswear inspired by 50 Shades.  The line’s looks each have a quirky little name befitting the style of the suit that includes the word “Grey” in the title.  It may sound a bit too kitschy, but what woman wouldn’t want to see her man dressed in a Christian inspired outfit for a night out on the town?

A few Seattle hotels are jumping on the Fifty Shades of Grey the movie bandwagon, offering romance packages and room inspired by the book’s signature scenes.  Some include rides in Audis while other’s offer Christian’s favorite wines and a chance to see the sights of Seattle.  One UK hotel has decided to put Fifty Shades of Grey books in their nightstands, taking the place of the Bible in the bed side drawer.  This might be controversial, but these hotels are taking advantage of possible attraction and sales based upon the upcoming release of Fifty Shades of Grey the movie and all of the press that comes with. 

Sex toy lines and BDSM retailers are also seeing a boost in sales and interest in what they have to offer.  Fifty Shades of Grey has sparked interest in this lifestyle and experimentation in sex play that many people did not show interest in before.  Whatever the case is, whether a weekend getaway, a sexy grey suit or a trip to the local sex shop, these businesses are reaping the benefits of Fifty Shades of Grey’s popularity.
